Philippe Martin is a CNRS senior researcher in Law.
He obtained his doctorate in law in 1993 and entered the CNRS (National Scientific Research Centre) the same year, as a junior researcher. Till then, his workplace has been the COMPTRASEC (Centre for comparative labour law and social security) at the University of Bordeaux. Philippe Martin’s research area is social law, employment law, welfare and social policies, with a special interest in comparing national legal systems and analysing the social dimension of the European Union. He’s been in charge of several research programs related to ageing, dependence and long term care policies.
